Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 4, 2026

MicNest is operated by Micnest LLC ("MicNest", "we", "us", or "our"). We take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal information when you use our website (https://micnest.ai), the MicNest creator platform, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, data from third‑party integrations, and some information automatically when you use the Service.

Account Information: When you sign up, we collect your name, email address, and optionally your podcast details (show name, RSS feed URL, etc.).

Podcast Content: To provide the Service, we access and process the podcast episodes, transcripts, show notes, artwork, and guest information that you upload or connect via RSS/API. This includes audio files and their associated metadata.

Usage Data: We automatically collect information about your use of the Service, such as pages visited, features used, actions taken, time spent, and referring URLs. This data is collected via standard web technologies (cookies, local storage, server logs).

Payment Information: We use third‑party payment providers to process payments. Depending on how you complete your purchase, your payment may be processed by Paddle or another authorized payment provider. We do not store full payment card details.

Purchases through Paddle: If you purchase through Paddle, Paddle acts as Merchant of Record and processes your payment in accordance with Paddle's Privacy Notice.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service — processing your podcast content, generating websites, blogs, newsletters, guest pages, and search indices.
  • Personalise your experience — tailoring content, recommendations, and analytics based on your podcast and audience.
  • Communicate with you — sending service‑related emails (e.g., account updates, feature announcements, billing receipts). You may opt out of promotional emails at any time.
  • Analyse usage and trends — to understand how creators and their audiences interact with the platform, and to develop new features.
  • Ensure security and prevent fraud — monitoring for suspicious activity and enforcing our Terms.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information or your podcast content. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

  • With your consent — when you explicitly authorise a third‑party integration (e.g., connecting your account to Spotify or YouTube).
  • Service Providers — trusted third‑party vendors who help us operate the Service (hosting, analytics, payment providers including Paddle for Merchant of Record transactions, email delivery). They are contractually bound to use your information only as necessary to provide their services to us.
  • Legal Requirements — if required by law, regulation, subpoena, or similar governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MicNest, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. We also retain certain information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable timeframe, unless retention is required by law.

5. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, regular security assessments, and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies (local storage, pixels) to remember your preferences, understand how you interact with the Service, and deliver a personalised experience. You can control cookies through your browser settings; however, disabling essential cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.

Types of cookies we use:

  • Essential cookies — required for core functionality (e.g., keeping you logged in).
  • Analytics cookies — help us measure and improve the Service (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Preference cookies — remember settings you’ve chosen.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — ask us to update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — request deletion of your data, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Objection — object to certain processing activities, including direct marketing.

To exercise any of these rights, please email us at privacy@micnest.ai. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe and in accordance with applicable law.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately so we can delete it.

9. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where we or our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your own. We take steps to ensure that such transfers are compliant with applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through a notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
